Chinese Censorship Has Gone Too Far!: Anime Scenes Left in ... a Sticky Situation
I'm not the only one who sees this, right?!

The Chinese government has once again caused a stir in the anime world by censoring blood in anime shows. And the replacement they chose? A white liquid that looks suspiciously like … other bodily fluids.
What's the deal with this censorship?
It seems that the Chinese government has a strict policy against showing excessive violence and gore in media, and anime shows are no exception. In order to comply with these regulations, anime studios are forced to censor any scenes that depict blood or gore.
While this may seem like a reasonable request, the way in which they've chosen to censor these scenes is, well, questionable at best. Instead of simply removing the blood, they've replaced it with a white liquid that looks like it belongs in a completely different kind of film.
What's in the white liquid?

Now, we're not saying that the white liquid is definitely … you know what I’m talking about, but it certainly looks like it. And the fact that it's being used to replace blood in anime shows is just too funny to ignore.
You could always convince yourself that the white liquid could be milk or some other innocuous substance, but let's be real here. It's hard to imagine any other liquid that would look so much like, well, that.
The unintended consequences of censorship
While the censorship of blood in anime shows may seem like a harmless request, the unintended consequences of this decision are quite hilarious. Not only are the scenes in question now more absurd than ever, but it's also hard to take them seriously when characters are spouting white liquid instead of blood.
And let's not forget the impact this censorship has on the anime industry as a whole. Anime studios are now forced to come up with creative ways to work around the censorship regulations, which often results in scenes that are even more ridiculous than the original ones.
In conclusion
China's censorship of blood in anime shows has resulted in some unintentionally hilarious consequences. The replacement of blood with a white liquid is just too funny to ignore. While we understand the Chinese government's desire to restrict violence and gore in media, we can't help but laugh at the bizarre way in which they've chosen to do so.
